Every Review Counts – Treefo Update (June – October 2025)

At Beaverswood®, we believe that small actions can lead to big change - especially when it comes to the environment. That’s why we’re proud to continue our partnership with Feefo through the Treefo initiative, turning your customer reviews into real-world impact by planting trees across the world.

We first launched the initiative in April 2025, committing to planting at least 50 trees every month in support of vital reforestation projects around the world.

After sharing our first update in June covering April - May's progress, we're now excited to reveal the next chapter - our impact from June - October 2025.

A Greener Planet, One Review at a Time

Every time you leave a verified Feefo review for Beaverswood®, you help fund vital tree-planting efforts in regions that need it most. From Madagascar to Uganda and Kenya, here’s a breakdown of the projects we’ve contributed to in the past five months.

June 2025 – Madagascar

Mangrove restoration in Madagascar plays a vital role in stabilising coastlines and supporting marine biodiversity.

In recent years, vast areas of Madagascar’s original forests have been destroyed, displacing entire animal species and diminishing local people’s ability to farm and live on the land. Entire mangrove estuaries are also gone, leaving the bare earth to wash away into the sea. These mangrove forests are not only crucial carbon sinks, but they also provide habitats for a wide range of marine species that live in the shallows, and provide vital coastal protection from floods and storms.

  • Total Trees Planted: 8,050
  • Our Contribution: 50
  • Species: Avicennia Marina (mangrove species)
  • Project Location: Kandrany 2, Madagascar

Potential Species in the Region

  • 3,346 Plant Species
  • 9 Amphibian Species
  • 30 Mammal Species
  • 143 Bird Species

July 2025 – Uganda

Moringa, also known as the "miracle tree", grows fast and offers nutritional, medicinal, and ecological benefits.

This project involves the establishment of 400 Forest Gardens in the Mount Elgon region in Eastern Uganda. Each Forest Gardens is approximately one hectare each in size, and local farmers are supported and trained to establish and look after their Forest Gardens over a period of 4 years. By the end of the 4-year programme, farmers have an established and protected Forest Garden which they can use to sustain their families and produce vital income.

All the while, the diverse trees planted in the 400 Forest Gardens in the project will provide ecosystem services, like stabilising the soil, and of course will be sequestering carbon from the atmosphere and storing it in the ground.

  • Total Trees Planted: 8,250
  • Our Contribution: 50
  • Species: Moringa oleifera
  • Project Location: Mbale, Uganda

Potential Species in Region

  • 2,131 Plant Species
  • 22 Amphibian Species
  • 157 Mammal Species
  • 493 Bird Species

August 2025 – Madagascar

We helped boost Madagascar’s coastline again. These mangroves are critical for carbon storage and protecting wildlife.

  • Total Trees Planted: 8,300
  • Our Contribution: 50
  • Species: Rhizophora mucronata (another mangrove)
  • Project Location: Kandrany 2, Madagascar

September - October 2025 – Kenya

This indigenous tree helps improve soil fertility and provides shade and habitat. It’s part of a long-term effort to restore natural forests in Kenya.

In the past, Kenya has experienced erratic rainfall, attributed mainly to depletion of the five major water towers and its only remnant of tropical rainforest ecosystem – Kakamega forest. This has led to poor yields for farmers, escalating food prices and debilitating droughts.

The need to restore the degraded areas of the water tower is critical to millions of people who depend on the Kakamega tropical rainforest.

  • Total Trees Planted: 7,400
  • Our Contribution: 100
  • Species: Markhamia lutea
  • Project Location: Kakamega County, Kenya

Potential Species in Region

  • 380 Plant Species
  • 367 Bird Species
  • Between 10 to 20% of the animal species in the forest are nationally unique
