Most pens of this type are either permanent or wipe off, whereas the Beaverswood pen’s ink, once dried, needs a damp cloth for it to be removed. Using permanent ink removes the benefit of having a reusable label and using a pen with removable ink means that the text can be removed by accident by someone touching the label as they pass.
