Glow in the Dark Tape

Efficient Light Absorption for Maximum Glow

This innovative glow in the dark tape absorbs light throughout the day from both natural and artificial sources (such as tungsten, halogen, and fluorescent light, etc.). In the event of power outages, emergencies, or low visibility conditions, it emits a powerful, bright glow. This crucial feature helps prevent accidents by clearly marking escape routes, as well as highlighting obstructions or hazards in the pathway.

A Lifesaver in Smoke-Filled Conditions

In fires, smoke typically obscures ceiling lights, making evacuation challenging. Our glow-in-the-dark tape is a vital tool in these scenarios. Affix it along skirting boards and door frames to outline safe escape routes, even in heavily smoke-laden areas. This can be a lifesaver, helping people navigate familiar spaces turned treacherous by smoke.

Subtle by Day, Vibrant by Night

The tape is pale green in daylight, seamlessly blending into the environment, whether it be a warehouse, office, or otherwise. However, it transforms into a striking green glow in darkness, guiding the way when needed most.

Easy Application, Long-Lasting Safety

Designed for quick and hassle-free installation, the tape adheres firmly to various surfaces, making it perfect for offices, industrial settings, and homes. Its durable design ensures longevity and consistent performance even in tough environments.

FAQ

How do I apply this egress tape?

  1. Ensure the surface is clean and moisture-free before application. Remove debris like paint chips using a suitable cleaner, but steer clear of using methylated spirits, petrol, or lighter fluids, as these substances can leave an oily film. The surface also needs to be warmer than 10°C.
  2. For porous surfaces, a sealing step is required to safeguard the adhesive against water damage. Achieve optimal results by applying a primer layer with a paintbrush, then allow it to dry completely.
  3. Begin the application by gently peeling back a section of the tape's self-adhesive backing. Firmly press the sticky side of the tape onto the prepared surface. Slowly continue to peel the backing, applying the tape without overstretching it.
  4. After positioning the tape, secure it in place by applying firm, even pressure. A decorating roller is ideal for this task.
  5. The tape is ready for immediate foot traffic following application. However, it will attain its full adhesive strength after a 48-hour period.

What type of light charges this tape?

This glow-in-the-dark tape absorbs and stores light from any light source (natural, tungsten, halogen, fluorescent, etc.)

Where should I apply this tape?

You should apply this tape to areas away from foot traffic to stop degradation. Some examples of ideal surfaces are:
  • Door surrounds and handles
  • Tops of skirting boards
  • Down walkways
  • On step and stair edges
